Born: 1944
General: Originally from North London, now living on the edge of Milton Keynes (someone has to) I have been married and have 2 grown-up sons and 2 teenage grandchildren. I Started work in Atomic Research at AERE Harwell then moved to Kodak where I ended up as a manager helping to run the Management Accounts Dept.
Cacti & Succulents: I keep a mixed collection of plants, with a great diversity of interest. As I claim on our Forum “I am a long time grower, not always well, of almost everything” As well as National involvement I am also a member of the Northampton & Milton-Keynes Branch committee having served with only a short break since 1978. I am also a member of the Mesemb Study Group, The Mammillaria Society and the Haworthia Society. I was awarded the Society AOM in 1989, a Fellowship in 1996 and Life Membership in 2007.
Other Interests: I am a Trustee of a number of local trusts where I live and a member of MENSA. I am also a member of the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation. I enjoy overseas travel but prefer it if the destination is hot with interesting plant and animal life.
